How to take a Screenshot on the iPhone/iPad

Taking a screenshot of whatever appears on your iPhone is surprisingly simple, yet there are many iPhone users out there that are unaware of this handy feature. In fact, I only discovered it a couple of years ago when I first got an iPhone 3GS and my son would play with the buttons, accidentally taking screenshots.

So here's what you do.
With the iPhone turned on, press the button at the top of the iPhone at the same time as you press the home screen button (the button under the screen).

That's it! Simple.

Go check your camera roll, and you should see a new photo in there of whatever you had on your screen.
It's handy for taking pictures of those funny text messages you sometimes get (or send) when auto correct has it's way. It also has lots of practical uses.

This process also works the same on the iPad.
