Never Too Late

I realize that as a husband wanting to be better at whatever it is that
husbands do, you will always be hit with those thoughts of regret
inasmuch as you wish you had made changes sooner.

Have the courage to ignore those thoughts. They are a cop out. Living
in the past prevents you from participating in today.

By all means acknowledge what you may have done wrong. Heck, even
apologize to whoever you need to as well. But I get confused when I'm
talking to people who SAY they want to do things differently from now
on, but can't stop talking about last year's mistakes.

To be honest, I think it is a subtle way of not owning up to current
or future actions. If I can convince myself that my past mistakes have
made any future success impossible, I am absolved of all
responsibility to try.
